Each year the Grapevine Garden Club provides resources to schools and community non-profit organizations who are providing children and the community with opportunities to understand and learn about plants and the natural world. The resources support projects which encourage experiences and interaction with plants, soils, insects, birds, and butterflies in their natural environment thereby encouraging an understanding and appreciation of environmental stewardship and protection.
The projects must be based in Grapevine or at a Grapevine/Colleyville ISD (GCISD) property. Any civic or non-profit organization or GCISD school group who meets the grant criteria may complete the application and submit it to the Civic Seed Committee.
The Club is now accepting Civic Seed Grant Application for the upcoming school year. Completed applications must be received by November 1. Email questions to Civic Seed Coordinator: civic@grapevinegardenclub.org
In addition, the Club awards a $1,200 scholarship to teachers to attend gardening/environmental enrichment classes at the Botanic Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) or other educational locations. Email questions to Civic Seed Coordinator: civic@grapevinegardenclub.org
